For the last five (or so) years, Bennett and his Morgantown friends have held what they call a Pseudo-Thanksgiving party. Everybody is to dress up, bring a dish to pass and pretend to be civilized adults. 🙂 I’ve been more than happy to be included in this tradition and this year, we decided to drag everyone to Wheeling for the dinner and drinks in Willow Glen. We joked a lot because this was the first year we’ve actually had a sit-down dinner on real plates (no paper plates with plastic forks)….but we still brought a little college-class by drinking our wine out of red Solo cups. Haha…we are still in the transitional period, I guess.
It was a ton of fun to see everyone and it’s always fun for us to get dressed up once in a while as well. Here are a couple of pictures from the event:
We don’t look too bad all gussied up, do we?
Today was a BEAUTIFUL day, so Bennett and I decided we owed the dogs big time and took them for a fun romp around the woods. It was really fun, as usual and we ran those poor puppies ragged. It’s crazy to me how warm it is in November when last year we were hit with a snowstorm at this time. It makes me wonder how long and drawn out winter is going to seem once it gets here.
Billy arrived around six and we’ve been trying to figure out how our three dogs are going to be dealing with each other while Billy and Denver are here for their visit. George Michael is trying to assert his dominance over a dog easily twice his size, so it’s seemingly interesting to watch them interact. Billy is going in for his first round of chemo tomorrow at the hospital so we’re just trying to take it easy tonight by watching some tv, playing video games and simply chilling out. He’s got a lot ahead of him and we are blessed that we were able to get him to Wheeling to keep him close. Maybe we can make Billy fall in love with West Virginia like I am and he’ll stay close??
