Another peek at our little Bean.

Feb 3, 2010

I had my third doctor’s appointment today – unfortunately I had to venture alone because Bennett was in class during the appointment. Alas, I survived! 🙂 I have no idea why but Dr. Pizarro got the ultrasound machine going again and gave me another look at the little being growing inside of me. Compared to last time (and certainly compared to the first visit), Baby McKinley is a-growin’!

The first visit, Bean measured 6mm. This visit, time has turned our baby into a whopping 35mm. Think about the difference in size in just a few weeks. Crazy! Everything seemed to be fine, I got to see that little heart beating away and I walked away with another photo so I was pretty happy. Thank goodness I’ll be on a regular schedule starting now and I won’t be returning to see the doctor until March 2nd. He told me that we get to hear the heartbeat during our next visit and he’ll also be doing a more extensive ultrasound. I feel like it might still be too early to find out the sex of the wee little one – but I seriously cannot wait until that visit occurs. Am I having a little boy or a little girl?! I’m dying to know.Week 11 - 2010.02.02

I also can’t wait until our ultrasounds start looking like a baby instead of a blob. But isn’t it the cutest little blob you’ve ever seen?
