Bennett and Kate + Eight(weeks)

Jun 30, 2010

It’s funny to think that we began this journey by counting up and now we are counting down.  Eight more weeks!!  My sweet cousin Krista reminded me that sometimes babies decide to come (much) later than the due date, but I refuse to listen to her.  Louis will be right on time,  I just know it.  Plus, Mom  has tickets to arrive in Pittsburgh on August 23 and we can’t have her here for a week without getting a chance to meet her first grandchild.

Week 32 - 2010.06.29

We’ve got a busy weekend ahead of us for the holiday – good things really.  One of our friend’s sisters is getting married and we get to attend her wedding ceremony on Friday.  Then we are headed to Cadillac to spend some quality time with Dad, Ronette, MaKale, Sierra and Nick.  We haven’t been in the state of Michigan since Christmas 2008 so we figured it was time to return to my home state.  Plus, it’s pretty much the last chance that Bennett and I have to travel anywhere without a baby in tow.

We had another doctors appointment today and it was business as usual.  We got to hear Louis’ heartbeat again, this time it registered at 150 beats per minute.  He’s quite the active little guy with a good solid heartbeat and we are so happy with the ease of this pregnancy so far.  (Knock on wood?)  We have been very fortunate. I just hope the next eight weeks continue with this trend.

Hi Katy!! Just a quick FYI, I was the only one of your nana's kids that showed up on the due date. Also, Nana planned her trip to be here for your Aunt Barbe and Nick was at least a week or more overdue, so mom just sat around waiting for him to show. Actually, Mom and Barbe kept busy the whole time, and walked up Stone Mountain one day trying to rush it along. Love you and hope everything is well, say Hi to your sister for me, and send Bennett my best.

    Love, Aunt Tricia
