Here are the first OFFICIAL hats to go into my donation pile from Katy’s Creations. Jessica from Reed City, Michigan ordered a “Sock Monkey” and “Nothin’ But a Hound Dog” for her niece and nephew – with duplicates to head to the Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.
I’m excited to have a pile started because it’s only going to be growing from here. How wonderful is it that we know some little kiddo is going to be receiving one of my hats as a gift? I might have used this phrase a time or two lately, but it really warms my heart.
I was concerned when I first decided to do “Caps for Chemo” with Britnee (Saigebrush Photography) because I wasn’t sure if I would be able to keep up. Now, I’m not really concerned about my pace as much as the quality and time I actually spend on each hat that will be going toward the cause. (Okay…so I’m concerned about the pace too!! You guys have ordered so many hats that I’m not sure I’ll have time to sleep in the month of February!)
My 2011 resolution was to be more proactive. I think I’ve done a pretty good job so far.
Thanks for your donation and participation, Jessica! Your hats are on their way first thing tomorrow morning!
