Thank You | Caps for Chemo

Mar 13, 2012

From the bottom of my heart:

Thank you for all of your continued support.
Thank you for believing in me.
Thank you for your insanely kind words.
Thank you for your patience while I worked through orders.
Thank you for showing compassion for complete strangers.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I seriously couldn’t have greater fans & friends than I do.  You guys have made this year another success and I hope to be able to continue the ‘Caps for Chemo’ promotion for years to come.

My wrists hurt, my house is full of yarn scraps/buttons and the post office probably thinks my husband is strange for delivering all of those hand-made packages…but you guys made everything worth it.  Two years in a row, I have been able to donate FORTY-FIVE hats to chemotherapy patients in the Wheeling/Pittsburgh area.  Just think: that’s ninety lives you’ve touched.  90!!

You can’t even begin to imagine how much my heart swells when I look at the donation pile that I have in our house.  I’ll be handing them off to my contacts with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society soon enough and this year’s promo will officially be finished.  Eek!!  So excited!!

My efforts haven’t quite ended this year though.  I will be participating in the ‘Light the Night’ walk for the fourth year in a row, with my husband and son right beside me.  So far, my fundraising efforts have been pretty outstanding – but I think we can do even better!!  I won’t beg and plead for donations, but I do ask that you think about it.  I have over 1,000 fans and followers.  $5.00 from 100 of you would be $500 toward people that are battling blood cancers.  That would be fabulous.

Can you help me??

Here’s the link to my fundraising page: http://pages.lightthenight.org/wpa/Wheeling12/KMcKinley

And again: THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SUPER MUCH!!  If I could huge each and every one of you that has made this year another success, I totally would!
