I’m no Betty Crocker – but when I find a recipe of hers that is easy and delicious, I feel compelled to share with you all! This past weekend, I spent some time getting to know my kitchen again. I feel like I’ve abandoned my baking skills and what better time than now to get back into it?? It is fall, after all!
If you want to find the original source of the recipe, follow this link: Bread Machine Pumpkin Spice Quick Bread. I feel like Betty never lets me down, especially when it comes to baked goods. She’s the woman!
The condensed version of the deliciousness that is pumpkin bread is below:
This was my first attempt at making bread since I took a Culinary Arts class back in high school. Instead of even trying to find something that would go in my oven, I opted for a bread maker version. I think it went really well! Some things that I did differently: instead of vegetable oil, I used sunflower oil. And I did throw in 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts. I’m certainly making this again. And soon! (As you can see by the final photo, I forgot to take a picture before we ripped into the loaf and devoured a good bit of it. Haha – whoops!
