‘Save the Racks’ Results | Fundraising

My friend Britnee can sometimes be a real pain in my butt.  Haha.  (Love you, Brit!)

For instance, she has been BEGGING me to make something that involves camouflage for pretty much the past two years.  I stood strong and didn’t cave into her ways…until the day that she asked if I could make her a camo shirt that involved raising money & awareness for the fight against breast cancer.  How could I say no to that??

And so…this shirt was born: Save the Racks

I had no idea how many emails I’d have to answer and how many shirts I’d have to make when I first posted these online.  I’m just really glad that I made the choice to do this in October.  Especially being that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

I even spent a ton of time searching down some “hunting camouflage” shirts, to satisfy the country girls out there.  Real Tree certified, women’s health supporting, handmade shirts got circulated this past month and I’m really proud to have been a part of it.

Today was the big day for donations!!  And guess what?  You guys blew my mind with the amount of money that I just sent in the direction of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.  I could kiss you, all of you!! 🙂

The email I received from the NCBF went a little something like this:

Thank you for donating to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Many of our donors appreciate our programs for women in need, such as our National Mammography Program or our Patient Navigator program. We encourage you to learn more about these programs and our educational tools such as Beyond the Shock and the Early Detection Plan.
