Bennett and I joke that we are raising some sort of hoarder and he’s just in his beginning stages of life. It’s seriously nuts how much this kid likes “things”. Mostly weird things too.
He carries around my giant crochet hooks and calls them ‘magic wands’. He carries and sleeps next to a skeleton key we found in the house. Today, he was holding a piece of PVC piping as if it were a bat and continually yelled: Play Ball! It’s bizarre and you never know what his next attachment will be. Most nights, he is completely surrounded by all of his treasures.
Semi-recently, Louis found a flashlight in one of the (seriously too-many) drawers of goodies in our house. Instant love! He kept calling it a “firelight”…or something along those lines. Bennett and I kept trying to break down the word for him so he could hear it in a simpler form. “Flash.” “Light.”
Louis sweetly says: “Fashalight. Got it!”
You sure did, kiddo. You sure did. 🙂
