I look at Louis with those big ole’ blue eyes and can’t help but wonder what the future holds for him. At one-month shy of his 3rd birthday, kiddo has already shown signs of creativity beyond the realm of most adults I know. Based upon that alone, I can already guess a few things about teenaged/adult Louis.
- Sleep will be the last priority. (We’ve already seen flashes of this. Practically since day one.)
- Instead of looking at something in a store and simply wanting to buy it, he’ll be thinking about how he can recreate it or make it better himself. (Bennett and I are super guilty on this one.) :cough:theskirtsikeepmaking:cough:
- Simple tasks of housework/chores will ALWAYS be second to creating. No joke, our house is allllllways a disaster zone.
- Friends will always be asking for advice on things. Which is totally great. But sometimes they have this idea that you’re more of a genius than you actually are and you can’t answer the question or solve the problem.
- Parents are a tough sell. We won’t always understand what his goals/dreams/wishes are but we will always be supportive of it. Always.
- He will struggle. He will want to give up. And there will be days when he wants to hide under a rock and avoid the world because he feels like a complete failure. He will fail. But there will always and forever be a spark in him that pushes him onward and upward and it won’t ever die down.
- And finally – if he’s anything like his Daddy and Momma, he will NEVER be able to answer the question: “What do you want to be when you grow up/get older?” Because that question is just plain ridiculous. We want to be EVERYTHING.
Sound familiar to any other creative minds out there?
