One of my big goals is to get my shop filled and ready for the fall/winter seasons. I started my adventures on Etsy by crocheting and I haven’t turned my back on it completely. It’s just that it seemed for a while there that everyone and their brother was crocheting critter hats and I needed to find a new outlet to take my business into a bigger direction.
But I still really love crocheting. Like a lot. And I have so many crocheted items in my house right now that I need to start listing them and getting them out of here. It’s just that photographing and listing everything is so. much. work. And I’m mildly lazy about it. I’d rather make things all day than have to do the business side of them. (Sounds like someone needs an assistant.)
Anyway. Yesterday, I braved the 85 degree weather in a long-sleeved top and fingerless gloves to create new listings for the shop. I’m kind of in love with these gloves. In a hardcore way.
Aren’t they gorgeous? And they’re super soft and keep your hands warm but still keep you functional. I wear mine all of the time…but this year I actually added thumbs to them and I think I’m going to have to make myself a new pair with thumbs.
Thirteen color variations made their way into my online storefront. I really can’t decide on my favorite color…but I am super digging the Ombre Latte version, with the different colors of browns all mixed together. Squee!
Anywho. I’m also mildly proud of the pictures I was able to get yesterday. So I decided to share them on here. Sorry if this is old news to you and you saw all of this yesterday when they went up.
What’s your favorite fall accessory? Do you think you would benefit from some fingerless gloves being gifted to you this Christmas?
After a fail on technology's part this past winter, Katy was super awesomely kind to throw in a pair of these with my order. As a sign language interpreter, these suckers came in really handy (pun totally intended) on the cold days where my hands just didn't want to move. I love all of the colors and may have to purchase a few for options to wear in the office. I'm with you, Katy – I can't pick a favorite, but I'm super impressed with how your photos turned out…and LOVE the top you're wearing! Can you expand your services and become my fashion consultant as well? 😉
Bree, aren't you the sweetest little thing? 🙂
Glad to hear you like your gloves! I used to work in the world's coldest office, so I would use them while I was typing away at the computer on the regular.
By the way…I'd be the world's worst stylist. I picked this shirt last year because it reminded me of crochet doileys, haha. And now it seems to be super popular everywhere. It was the only neutral thing I owned for photos so I thought it would work.
Crochet doileys or not, I love your style. Vintage meets modern and so much fun. Which reminds me, I still need to email you about some ideas for a new skirt…with pockets of course!
Ombre latte amazingness!!!! I just might have to get those. Though my friend is a knitter hard core and she has made me a pair of awesome gloves. I've been crushing on them hardcore for the past three years. They may need a break.
I really want to learn how to knit. I like the tight pattern it gives vs crochet…but I just haven't taken the time to learn yet. Maybe that's next on my list of to-dos.
