This time last year…

May 13, 2015

AngelicaMeghan and I are all challenging ourselves to blog every day during the month of May.  We are hoping you can join in too!  Today’s prompt: This time last year…

Holy freaking crap.  In one year’s time, a lot has happened.
This time last year…

…I was still working full time as an administrative assistant.  And dreaming about the chance to become self-employed.

…Bennett’s “Meet Me in the Alley” project was just starting to take off.  People were just starting to learn about it.  He wasn’t the “alley guy” that everyone knows and loves quite yet.

…Reinvent Wheeling kicked off it’s first ever Show of Hands.  Today, we are headed to the first of four in 2015 today to watch some more excellent people try and get some new Wheeling-friendly projects get off the ground.  It’s the fifth time Show of Hands has happened and every single time has been better than the last, especially with turnout.  We are greatly looking forward to attending another round!

…Louis was attending We2 classes at his school.  One day a week, for an hour and a half, with Bennett in attendance with him.  This Friday will be his “first” last day of school.  The school that he was going to three days a week, all by his big kid self.  On Friday, he will be completing an entire year of school.  Are you kidding me?  How have we let this happen?  He’s growing up?  Unacceptable!!

…we were starting to get our tiny garden of veggies potted.  Bennett is the green thumb in our family, I just reap the benefits.  He’s got random plants growing from seed all over our house again.

That’s just a tiny glimpse into everything.  Big changes, big experiences, amazing results for our hard work.  Can’t wait to see what’s in store for us next!

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!

It's always crazy to reflect on what's happened. A year is both long and short. I love seeing how your little family has grown! Congrats to Louis on his progress (and to you for your creative endeavors and Bennett for his!)
