I’ve been making an effort to try and work on my hand lettering.  Scratch that…I was making an effort for a while and then I let it fall by the wayside.  But the other night, I was inspired to pick up my pencil again and sketch something out. 

I thought that maybe I’d be more inclined to keep practicing my hand lettering if I started sharing what I make on my blog.  Because, why not?

This is actually a quote from POTUS himself.  I read it the other day and fell in love with the meaning.  We need to stop waiting for a hero to come along and fix everything.  We need to be that hero.  For ourselves, if not for everyone else.

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.

Remember last month during #bloggermayi when we asked to share a favorite quote?  This might be a new one of mine.
