When Sew Stylish Fabrics arranged this tour, the must have known I’d be all over it. I am craving fall hardcore right now. I’m just not much of a warm weather person. I practically hide from the sun with this fair skin of mine, and our house isn’t air conditioned. So, yeah. I like my cooler weathers.
Plus fall is so freaking fabulous! The smells, the colors, the foods, the comfy clothes…..everything. And while it’s probably too early to talk about the rest of the stuff, I’d at least like to talk about clothes!
There are two things I simply cannot resist when it comes to fall-sewing for myself: sweater knits and Patterns for Pirates Pumpkin Spice Dolman. And when those two things come together, it’s pure perfection for me.
Strangely enough, as many times as I’ve made the PSD, I’ve never made the short sleeved version of it. I LOVE IT. The giant, open, drapey sleeved aspect is fabulous for cozy clothes that don’t need to be super warm. Hello transition weather wardrobe!
I don’t know why my poses are all so boring in these photos. I’m sorry that the best Tyra I could give you was this. I’ll work harder next round. Maybe throw some smize-ing in there. You know, to shake shit up.
Let’s talk the fabric a little bit. Stylish Fabrics was AWESOME and gifted me two yards of this delicious sweater knit. I’ll admit that I had never heard of this website before, but they’ve got a new customer with me. Their prices are amazing. And honestly, I love the fabric that I picked out. Usually when prices are super low like they are (this sweater knit is currently going for $5.90/yard), I don’t expect the greatest quality. Not the case with this at all! It is not too thin, not too thick, the colors were basically spot on with the photos and it was a delight to sew with. Win, win, win.
Ripped skinny jeans and a PSD and my life is basically made. Well…it will be when the temperatures drop and Starbucks starts pumping out their Caramel Brulee and Pumpkin Spice flavors. Then my life will be made for sure.
Am I one of those basic girls who loves PSLs and tall boots? Guilty as charged.
