I’m back for my third share of the Bellisima Mundo fabrics from RP Custom Fabrics. Sara hooked me up with SO MANY strike offs and I couldn’t help but sew and share them all. Plus it gives me an excuse to take photos of and with my two handsome guys…so you’ll never find me complaining.
First up was a “Mother Earth” round, in an 18″ circle. This circle was printed with a black base around it, to fill the square that’s actually printed…so I thought I’d play off of that. I took the Jolly Roger Raglan and cut the sleeves and back bodice in black. So it looks like the circle stayed a circle as much as possible.
Again, I’ll boast about how gorgeous these prints are. The detail is stunning. And it’s just so awesome to have the whole world in on tee. It makes my space, nature, and science loving kiddo just so happy.
I went the raglan path with Bennett’s shirt as well, while using this “Piedra” print, in a 36 x 58 size. It’s such a pretty, vibrant print. And though Bennett is not a fan of loud colors and prints, I’ve caught him wearing this shirt twice since I made it a week or so ago. Point for Katy!
Cole’s Creation’s Jerry Raglan is my favorite raglan sleeved top for Bennett. The fit is spot on. It’s a fast sew. And I’m pleased as pie to have options for tees to sew for that bearded man of mine.
My top is another continuation of my obsession with Ella and Mya tops from Made for Mermaids. You can see the other two I created recently HERE and HERE.
I’m really loving the idea of flutter sleeves lately and I thought it’d be a really fun way to incorporate some of the round prints. I took one of the 25 inch “Mother Earth” rounds, cut it in half, and attached it as a sleeve.
I think it’s such a fun, dramatic sleeve! The body of my shirt was a Mya/Ella mash…I basically made a Mama Mya and stole the neckline from the Mama Ella, so I could have this dropped back. Love, love, love.
And it looks fabulous with this 36×58 linear “Earth” panel. The colors are stunning.
