Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!
This week’s themes: Tweeting, Raising, Giving, Illustrating, Restoring
Tweeting. Nothing?? Because Twitter and Snapchat are the two social medias that I just haven’t settled into yet. Or ever. I have a Twitter account that autofeeds from my blog and such…but beyond that, it confuses me more than I’d like to admit and I’m just not wanting another site to be on. It’s just never been of interest to me.
Raising. One of the sweetest kids known to mankind. Give me a second to over-the-top Mom brag. But Louis is seriously just such a beacon of light. He’s creative and funny and smart and dripping with sweetness. And so well behaved, too. We’ve had this poor child in a 10×10 booth two weekends in a row for festivals and he has handled it so well. So much so, that we are giving him a “Louis Day’ today. We are handing over all decisions to him and we will do activities that he’s decided upon, and eat what he wants to eat all day. I’m about to head out the door to grab some douhnuts so we can eat them in bed (since that’s request #1). It should be a fun day!
Giving. Lots of thanks to everyone who stopped by to hang out with us and shop from our booth at the Market StrEat Festival yesterday! It was HOT. And a long day. But we had fun and it was nice to participate in a new festival in town.
Illustrating. New designs every week for Thread & Grain. Digitally, of course. But that still counts as illustrating, right?? Haha. Every Friday, we are even running a “Feature Friday” where we have specific things set at 30% off for a 24-hour period. It’s been fun so far!
Restoring. Our house this week, back to a clean state. Or maybe getting it clean for the first time ever. I’m planning on taking a mini staycation and getting things in order. It’s well overdue. And Bennett is on a break from summer classes right now, so we’ve got a free-ish schedule and it would be a great time to make things happen. This disaster zone needs to be managed, STAT.
