I Wear Violet…..

I Wear Violet for My Brother

Sierra made a discovery today and I thought I might share it with everyone else – so we can rock some super cool clothes AND donate money to the fight against Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  It’s a Two for One deal!!  (The best kind, I’m sure.)

Anyway, here’s the website:  www.thehodgeshop.com  The shirt to the left is the one I’ve decided to throw some money into.  Don’t go and copy me by getting the same one, people! :)

Also, since I haven’t mentioned it yet, there is another Light the Night walk coming to Wheeling.  We’ve got a little bit of time to raise some funds for the walk, but I thought it was a great time to start getting the word out about it.  There is a link on the right side of the page that shows the status of the money we’ve raised and you can make your donation straight from that, or just email me (mckinley.katy@gmail.com) and I can figure something out that way as well.  Just in case, I’ll be adding the link every once in a while during my posts so anybody can get to it.

Here it is: http://pages.lightthenight.org/wpa/Wheeling10/KMcKinley

Last year, Bennett and I raised $250 for the walk so we decided to up the goal a little bit this year.  I think $300 is easily attainable, don’t you?  Also, the walk is on April 14, 2010 so we have a lot more time than we did last time to start hitting people up for their support.  Billy’s got quite the journey ahead of him and I know he’s got a ton of supporters – let’s help out others that are in his position.

Oh….and one more thing before I think of another link to put on here: A lot of people have asked me recently about where they should send mail to Billy while he’s here in Wheeling.  The best thing right now would be to send it to Bennett and me and we can deliver it to Billy Bob from there.  It will just probably be easier that way.  If you need our address – again, just email me: mckinley.katy@gmail.com

Thank you for all of your love and support, I know it helps keep Billy’s (and the rest of the family’s) spirits up knowing that there are so many people out there that care.
