While Katy was taking a much needed shower after a day of moving and cleaning, I sat on the porch and watched the moon rise over the mountains. Just two days short of a full moon, it was enormous and was really neat to see rise out of the trees. I took some pictures but only a few turned out, I chose this one because I thought it was cool how it almost looks like the moon is as bright as the sun. Anyways, here is our nightly view of the moon.
Yes, I could still remember my password to this site...and yes I still remember how to do one of these. Katy just loves updating everyone and has the motivation to, evidently I lack that motivation but here I am and here we go!So, we've got the bare essentials of clothing, carpeting, and our bed in the bedroom. We are fortunate enough to have the quilting styles of the world renowned Aunt Gayle on our bed! Our fortune continued to be great when we came across an old air conditioning window unit for the bedroom. The last few days have been miserably humid and hot, reaching triple digits at times and air conditioning really has made life easier. If you turn around from where this picture was taken, you see the great balcony that looks over the valley.
So as most of you are probably aware, we are in the process of moving into Willow Glen...the amazing home that we were able to be married in. With the help of some friends that we bribed into service, we've moved most of everything that we need to get by.
Of course, I'm sure everyone is anxious to see the nursery...so I will not disappoint. We've brought in a rocking/reclining chair, and Meredith and David were generous enough to donate their old baby furniture including: the crib, the changing table, a high-chair, a pack-n-play, a bassinet, and a ton of clothes! Our plan includes a Bob Dylan quote in vinyl above the crib and maybe rockets around the room (Louis is destined to be an astronaut!)
Well, I hope all is well in the lives of all our friends and family. I can't promise I'll be posting regularly but here is one of my random but rare contributions.
