Wild & Wanderful

‘Twas the night…

‘Twas the night before ‘Caps for Chemo’ and all through the house, not a creature was stirring….

Oh wait. There was a creature stirring!! Some crazy red-headed lady decided to stay up late into the night while her husband and baby were sleeping to finish all of her January orders. It was a long night of listening to Pandora radio on my computer and sipping on some coffee, but the impossible was made possible.

Ashley, here are the two hats you ordered. They are on their way to you as of this morning! I can’t wait to see what you think of them in person.

I had a custom request for a purple version of my sock monkey – amazingly enough (with my purple obsession) I hadn’t thought of this color combination myself. Amanda, I hope your little Katy loves this hat as much as I do.

Now with this next order, I just have to ask. Why has the elephant been so popular? Is it because it’s so ridiculous that it’s cute? Haha. I made it for my son while we were out doing some political things during Halloween weekend, almost as a joke. And now I’ve made more than a handful of these hats! I never thought people would like them. I suppose they are pretty cute. I just had no idea I would get orders for it.

Jennifer, here are your hats. The “You’re a Hoot” in white has been a very well requested one. I think it’s because Britnee at Saigebrush Photography takes such great pictures of little ones in this particular hat.

And the final three: drum roll please.

Lindsay sent me an order with two “You’re a Hoot” hats in white as well as a new hat to debut. I dubbed it “Wild Child” because it’s got some really fun color schemes to it. I hope you like it, Lindsay!

So there you have it, folks! Eight hats were defeated all in the name of “Caps for Chemo”. Today is the first day of our promotion and I’m excited (nervous) to see what kind of turnout we are going to be getting. I think we’ve been able to get a few people to rally behind us in this cause so far and it’s been fun to see how many people want to support others.
