“The Tongue”

I’m not sure if I’ve shared “the tongue” with you before – but I saw these two pictures from our outing on Sunday and thought this was too perfect not to share. :)

This fall weather is making me fall in love with West Virginia all over again.  I wasn’t even aware that it was possible.  The cool, crisp air…everything that is pumpkin flavored…the Halloween decorations…it’s all amazing.

We decided to take advantage of the nice day on Sunday and spend some outdoor time with the little stinker and our two puppies.  Obviously, if we are going to be outside – the camera is going to be taking the trip as well.  Seriously.  It’s gorgeous!  (And these beautiful colors are about to be leaving us for good soon…)

(Whoops…I seem to have strayed from the point of my story, haha.)

Anyway, Bennett does this thing where he sticks his tongue out and puts it on his upper lip when he’s concentrating on something.  It doesn’t have to be something serious – it’s just anything that he is taking the time to focus on.  I’ve seen it during studying for school, playing video games, changing diapers and working in his ‘workshop’.

I also love it.  It’s such a “Bennett thing” and I can’t help but smile when I see him doing this.

He’s apparently passed it down to our little one.  This picture lights up my heart, especially because I know that “the tongue” is not a lost thing.  It will most likely be seen on Louis in the years to come and I love knowing that simple fact.  Hehe.

I have the cutest family on Earth.
