Dear Mother Nature,
We get it.  You’re really good at making snow.  And ice.  And whatever the hell that slushy crap was all over my driveway (and soaked into my shoes and socks) this morning.  You win.  Could you let up now and show *some* signs of spring?  I would be eternally grateful.
Your ever loving daughter, Katy

Seriously though.  We had such a mild winter up until the last few weeks.  And now it’s all “I’m going to snow and then melt and then snow and then slush on you until you can’t take it any longer”.  I think Louis is starting to get the bug for spring too.

In reality, I think he just wants the chance to go play on a playground somewhere.  All available ones near us would be an epic wet and muddy mess at this point.  He asked to go to a playground the other day and SuperDaddy (aka Bennett) made him one in our living room.  It was awesome.  He put chairs together so Lou could have a bouncy house, made a tunnel slide going into the ball pit and spread out a blanket as a swimming pool.

The swimming pool blanket was a hit.  He jumped “into the pool” so many times and fake splashed us, it wasn’t funny.  Really.  It stopped being funny after about the 80th time that we had to fake an upset over being fake splashed.

Honestly, I really do love his imagination and admire his ability to make lemonade out of lemons.  Instead of getting upset that he wasn’t going to a real playground, he spent an ENTIRE day playing on his pretend playground that his daddy made.  We should all take some pointers from Louis on how to enjoy what’s in front of us.  He’s got it down to a science.
