Wild & Wanderful

Walking with Dinosaurs.

Last week, we were drinking at the zoo.  This time around, we took Louis and had a zoo trip in the more traditional sense.  You know, the one where you look at animals.

Oh…and the one where you check out the animatronic dinosaurs that are hanging out all over the place.  Zoo stuff.  Haha.

For their second year in a row, Oglebay’s Good Zoo has these awesome dinosaurs on display that actually move around (their heads mostly) and make dinosaur noises.  Louis is three-parts infatuated by them, one part terrified.  It’s funny because I feel like he understands they aren’t real but then will talk to them.  So I guess I’m not sure where he stands.

Bennett thought Louis might enjoy panning for fossils at one of the stations, which he did.  I don’t know why we hadn’t done this with him on any of the visits to the Good Zoo yet.  He was so excited to find dinosaur (shark) teeth and other fossils during his panning venture.

And the third highlight of Saturday’s trip was the petting zoo portion.  Mostly this one goat that Louis kept calling “a hungry fella”.  It kept following Louis around everywhere and had a face-to-face with Bennett to try and get more grub.

Hungry fella indeed.
