Finding. That I can get more things done on my computer if it's not attached to a desk.  Is that weird?  I've just added a laptop to our computer arsenal at home and the simple fact that I can sit on the couch and write a blog post, answer emails, work on design work, etc....makes me like a thousand times more computer-productive.  At least for now.  That could always change.  For now I'm good.

Writing.  On the Capitol Christmas tree that made it's way to Wheeling for a night.  Well, not on the tree.  Louis wrote his name amongst the bajillion others that were on the truck while it was up at Oglebay and we were checking out the Festival of Lights.  I think he wrote his name a total of three times up there.  He's adorable.

Dressing. For super cold weather.  And then warm weather.  And then cold weather.  And then warm again.  How we haven't had serious amounts of sickness flowing around our house for weeks now is beyond me.  (Maybe I shouldn't write that...this might be a giant jinx.)  Yesterday was one of those warm days.  So we got to be outside without super heavy hats, gloves and jackets.  And it was glorious.  Except the photos we tried to take were....well.  They were pretty accurate depictions of our lives.  Happy and chaotic.  And our own version of perfect.

Thinking.  About how long it's been since I've seen Bennett's face.  He's been fully bearded for forever now and then one day, he came downstairs and there was a baby-faced person in place of my husband.  It was such an extreme change that Annabelle didn't trust or recognize him.  She howled and wouldn't go near him for two hours, minimum.  Too funny.

Beginning.  To get into the Christmas spirit.  It's hard to stay in the current holiday when you work in a retail-heavy field.  I have to plan well in advance, especially for Christmas.  My little shop keeps me busy this time of year, that's for sure.  I'm stoked about Thanksgiving...don't get me wrong.  Food and no obligation to give people gifts?  My kinda party!  But Christmas?  The songs, the twinkly lights, the excitement Louis creates about Santa.  It's all amazing.

We went to the Children's Museum of the Ohio Valley to watch the Festival of Lights parade this past Friday.  Louis got to play with a bunch of kiddos, we got to be inside (and not outside and freezing our butts off) and we still got to see the parade.  Win, win, win.  Plus, it kinda set the mood for the upcoming holiday season.  Bring it on Christmas.  I'm ready for you!
