I Hope.

The news this morning was a hard one to wake up to.  My heart hurts for the families, first responders, Las Vegas community, and our great nation.  I’ll try to keep my political opinions out of this as much as I can, but it’s pretty obvious that things like this shouldn’t continue to happen.

Walk the Plank PJ Bottoms by Patterns for Pirates

We’ve spent all summer sewing and putting out woven fabric patterns over at Patterns for Pirates, and today is the final day of our “P4P Summer of Wovens”!  Woot!  We are celebrating the end of the woven sewing season with a FREE pattern for you guys, and one that will work for the entire family.

Really, the WHOLE family.  It’s a unisex pant pattern in youth and adult sizes and covers from 3M – Plus 3X.  Not bad, eh?

Cricut vs Silhouette | Which one is right for you?

Before I start with any of this, let me give you some major disclaimers.
All machines featured in this post were given to be my their respective companies.
— I have owned a Silhouette Cameo (the original version) since 2009, so I am more familiar with the software…but I have spent A LOT of time recently using the Cricut products just so I could get an honest handle on them.  My son’s birthday party decorations, etc were 100% Cricut created, specifically for this blog post.

Sunday Lately :: Week 143

Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!

This week’s themes: Reaching, Gathering, Explaining, Supervising, Upgrading.

Run the Ball! Score the Points!

Run the Ball! Score the Points!

I used to be the best WVU fan ever.  EVER.  Never missed a game, always knew the players and the current season standings, and all of that good stuff.  And then we had a baby and started our own businesses and life got in the way…and I’m officially the worst sports fan ever.

I’m trying to be better this year, Mountaineers.  I swear I am.
But when I decided that this week’s Feature Friday theme over at Thread & Grain would be football….I needed a shirt that represented my poor sports fan-ing abilities.
