Spring.

Apr 14, 2015

By far, fall is my favorite season.  But honestly…spring isn’t too far behind on my list of favorites.  I feel like we come back to life a little more, as we watch our surroundings come back to life.  The grass is getting greener, the days are longer, trees are filling with buds and leaves and little flowers are popping up all over the place.  Ahhh.  Spring.

I love that Louis gives me flowers almost every time we are outside.  Sometimes the flowers are weeds that he’s found in the woods while exploring with Daddy.  But if it looks like a flower to him, he collects it and will excitedly give it to me as soon as he sees me.  He knows how to work his Momma, I’ve told you this.

The winter was really starting to get to me.  I usually don’t let the cold weather get me down but this one did.  I think it’s in part to me being a work-from-home boss lady now.  I have to try hard to get myself out of the house once my 8-5 shift in my little studio is over.  And in the winter, when it’s dark at 5:00, I don’t ever feel like leaving.  I’m such a homebody but I think I even pushed my own limits of containment this past winter.

But during the warmer months?  It’s impossible to keep me indoors.  I’m looking forward to setting up our silly blow-up pool and having water fights.  And grilling hamburgers, hotdogs and everything that we can on the grill.  Oh my gosh, the idea of fresh grilled corn on the cob has me salivating.

Louis has spent the last two days with his feet in the sandbox.  You can’t keep him out of it.  I think he’s been missing outdoor time as well.  Although…we are having some issues convincing him to go outside.  He’s hard to convince to do anything, especially once he has a routine set in that brilliant and stubborn little mind of his.  Because he’s been in a flow of hanging inside, watching tv and playing JustDance, going outside isn’t in his schedule just yet.  I’m hoping we can quickly break him of this mindset.  I’m sure it won’t be a problem.  Especially when we start busting out the water toys.

Fresh air in our lungs and warm weather gear is something we’ve all been needing.  So happy the change of seasons is upon us.

Haha, spring is hands down my least favorite season. But fall is my favorite and this is why we're friends.

I can't imagine spring and summer in Georgia. It's got to be 100% pollen and humidity at all times of day. I totally get why you're a fall girl.

I get a lot of dandelions gifted to me. Which is super sweet. Little boys sure love their mommas.
