Team Mermaid is back at it again with another amazing TWELVE days of freebies on their blog. They are ambitious and awesome and generous. Love those girls! While I decided not to overwhelm myself and participate in all twelve days, I am joining them for a few days of freebies. And today is one of those days!
Bowties on Louis are my weakness. He may not wear them often but darnit…he’s so freaking adorable in them that maybe I should start making it his “thing”. When I read that they were doing adult sizes too, I couldn’t wait to make them for both of my guys. Daddy/Son matching bowtie photo opportunity? Yes, yes, yes.
Aren’t they the cutest duo ever? GAH! So many heart eyes!
I love the double layered look of these bowties. So far, I don’t think I’ve seen any quite like this, and especially not for free. So make sure you snag this pattern from Made for Mermaids! They even have the full tutorial for putting them together on their blog. I seriously made both of these for Bennett and Louis in 30 minutes.
Can I also momentarily brag about the outfits they’re wearing? The button down on Bennett and the cardigan on Louis are also me-made. Fun to see a whole photoshoot of my amazingly adorable dudes in mostly me-made clothes.
And of course, the details:
On Bennett: Yukon Button-Up by Peekaboo Patterns | Layered Bowtie by Made for Mermaids
On Louis: Cpt. Mack Cardigan by Patterns for Pirates | Layered Bowtie by Made for Mermaids
