Fleece Mittens :: P4P Holiday Freebies

sewingKaty McKinleyComment

We couldn't let the mermaids have all the fun this season, could we?  Judy, Nicole and I thought that it was our turn to make some fun freebies for Christmas too!!  We've got a set of three items that are coming out in the next couple of weeks, and today was the release of the first: fleece mittens!

I'm going to brag just for a tiny second because this pattern is actually one of mine.  It's stupid to be so excited, because they're just simple mittens.  However, I did the whole process of them.  So it feels pretty real to me.  I drew them up on paper, scanned and loaded it into my Ai program, adjusted as needed, ran the tester group to have my laaaaaadies make sure they fit properly, tweaked it (Judy jumped in and helped me a bit with the final tweaking), took the tutorial photos and wrote the blog post for it.

So, start to finish, they're my baby.  It's pretty cool to know that there are potentially thousands of ladies downloading this pattern to make, for themselves and for gifts.

Mittens: easier than pie to make, impossible to photograph without being a HUGE dork.

Sorry to all of our testers who had to photograph themselves with these.  I had a hard time myself, can you tell?  Oh boy.

You can get your hands on this FREE pattern HERE.  What are you waiting for?
