Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!
This week’s themes: Procrastinating, Hiding, Imagining, Sharing, Praising.
Procrastinating. At life. All week. I’ve been sick since Monday and I can’t seem to shake it. I’ve never been taken down for this much of an extended period of time before and it’s a draggggg. I think I’m getting better, and then I’m sleeping on the couch in the middle of the day to ward off my fever. Ugh. (Not to jinx it, but I am feeling a lot better this morning. So I’m hoping this is the end.)
Hiding. From all of my work. Because of sickness. I’m sorry….I can’t even come up with anything better than complaining about being sick. #lamesauce
Imagining. How fun March 11 is going to be. Because PROM!!!! With the Wheeling Young Preservationists, we are hosting an adult prom and doing it up right. Tickets went on sale Feb 1 and we’ve already had a little press coverage for the launch. It’s been so fun to come up with how to truly throw all these adults back into their prom days. We’ve got fun things planned for the night. And right now, we are taking submissions for old formal photos, so we can have a photo contest to win some free tickets. Since I can’t win, I’ve been sharing all of my old dance pictures. (And maybe being annoying…but that’s just my thing.)
Sharing. My lack of abilities to listen to my husband when he tells me I “have too many coffee mugs”. Target gets me. EVERY TIME. Each new holiday has the cutest mugs and I try to find one that I can carry throughout the year. This one was my fav. Sorry Bennett. There’s a new mug in my cabinet and I’ll probably add another in a month when they have new ones….
Praising. Louis. And his creative little brain. I blogged it yesterday…but I’ll still talk about it today. He looked over the fabrics that were laying around and then drew up an outfit for us to make together. It was fun and he felt attached to what we made. (Plus it distracted him for a good bit so I could get some work done. Win win.)
