It’s the 15th of the month, and you know what that means! It’s the Fabric for Pirates fabric shipment reveal day! WOOOOOO!!

This month’s fabric is a total Katy Pick. Not only is it in the prettiest purple (plum to be exact) but it’s in the new “wave” rib knit base that I’ve recently become obsessed with. I used this fabric type in my make HERE in a pink colorway, if you want to check it out! I went a little outside of my comfort zone to take some photos this time around and I’m actually pretty happy with the results! Sitting photos aren’t my jam…and taking pictures where I need to get different angles while only using a tripod and remote is HARD, but I think I did pretty darn okay this time around.

Let’s talk about the fabric. Obviously that’s what we are here for. It’s incredible, if you ask me! It’s a mid-weight fabric with a ton of stretch, really great recovery, pretty excellent drape (especially considering the weight and base of it) and the color is fab. I love that the raised part of the ribbing is in a lighter color than the base fabric.

I used the Rainbow Dress pattern from Patterns for Pirates to make this stunner of a dress. I actually forgot that these sleeves exist in this pattern and was plum pleased with how they look in this fabric! It holds the shape beautifully and the texture really adds to it.
