We thought it made sense to open up Fabric Reveal Day for the Fabric for Pirates subscription to today — because it’s Valentine’s Day and we LOVE this month’s fabric!

Okay, so this month we sent out this freaking adorable fuchsia Swiss Dot jacquard and I’m over the moon for it.

I actually have a pattern in testing right now, so I couldn’t help but pull a Judy and use it for my Fabric for Pirates sew-up. It’s called the Sunnyside Sweater and it’ll be available in both adult + youth sizes, in our Hourglass chart. I’m obsessed right now with the fit of it. It’s got a drop shoulder dolman-style sleeve, and oversized fit, and then it sucks back to your body with a comfy knit band. I love it. I’ve made like 6 already.

I really feel like I hit my “Barbie Core” stride with this top. I used a black + white stripe mystery knit (one of those rando ones you find in the deal section of Walmart bins) for all of the bands, and I think it really was such a fun decision to make. I adore the contrast of black + white against this gorgeous vibrant pink, don’t you?
