Oooookay. I just need to tell you that I am completely obsessed with this sweater that I made with this month’s Fabric for Pirates shipment. Like, COMPLETELY obsessed.

The idea was born from the embroidery I recently did for the November F4P shipment. I just had so much fun adding yarn embroidery to my sewing creations and I was dying to do more. The second this popped into my head, I couldn’t make it fast enough.

I thought it would be SO FUN to embroider little bows all over this sweater knit that we delivered to the Fabric for Pirates subscribers. Apparently I’m back on my bullshit of not being able to just leave a solid fabric alone, and I needed to add something to it. Instead of sublimation or HTV, apparently my new thing is yarn.

Listen. I’m not mad. In fact, I’m pleased as ever. Didn’t this turn out intensely adorable?

Putting this together was super easy. I used a “lazy daisy” stitch to create the sweet little bows, in dive different colors of yarn. It didn’t take much time at all to get all of them on there. And while they aren’t individually perfect (I’m far from being anything but a super beginner for embroidery) I think as a collective they look just darling!

I used my trusty Modern Sweater for this make, because I really felt like it would go well with my vision. Plus, the sleeeeeeeves on this pattern. GAH! I love them to death! How can you not love a lantern sleeve?

Well, I love it every moment of every day, except when I’m doing the dishes or cooking. And then I’m cursing them instead.
