If you didn’t come to this blog post to tell me how cute I am, I don’t even know why you’re here.
I kid. I kid. But in all seriousness, the second I started putting together this skirt, I was obsessed. And the moment I threw it on? OMG. I felt like the most darling person ever, haha. Don’t you love when clothing gives you such a boost like that?
Happy Fabric for Pirates reveal day, friendos! I’m on time this month with my sewing + sharing and I’m excited to tell you all about what I made!

I think the neckline of the Harriet Holiday Dress gets slept on too much. I even forget about how fantastic it is all the time, and I’m the one who designed the pattern! It has such a great, open neckline with a sweetheart element, and it doesn’t drop so low that you have to ask what kind of bra is good to wear with it. My favorite kind of necklines!

This fabric SCREAMED dress to me. I couldn’t make one fast enough. But the sweet gingham print had me thinking I needed ruffles of some sort. So I took the Harriet Holiday Dress skirt, and I chopped it up…did some math, and added these out of control, adorable layered ruffle tiers to it.
I love it so much that I might base my next pattern around this skirt. I need like ten more in my closet.

I had this really strong desire to style this dress with green tights and my sparkly gold shoes. A little nod to St. Patrick’s Day, perhaps? But also I will 10000% wearing this combo all spring long.
Both my father-in-law and mother-in-law saw me at separate times while I was wearing this and complimented me. (Well…my FIL asked me why I was wearing this and what I was up to, but close enough.)

The fabric we sent this month? Isn’t it LOVELY? Here are the details:
Fabric Type: 4×2 Yummy Ribbed Knit
Width: 58/60″ GSM: 180.00
