Just Dance.

Feb 19, 2015

I feel like most of our life with Louis has been lived in eras.  There was the Super Louis era, the Spiderman gloves Era, the carrying multiple stuffed animals everywhere era, the string cheese era, the having to sleep with HotWheels cars in each hand era….etc, etc, etc.  He’s always kept us on our toes, that’s for sure.  And we’ve always just enjoyed it as much as we could (even when we really couldn’t stand some of the things) because we knew it was just a phase and it would eventually pass.

I think this would be the “Just Dance” era.  Louis loves to watch YouTube videos of dance music and he stumbled across the Just Dance video game previews on there.  Apparently, they have an app for that now.  Who knew?  So we downloaded it and Louis LOVES to dance along to the videos.  He’s actually pretty good at it too.

Plus, he loves that it connects to my computer so he can hold my phone in his hand and it scores his dancing based upon the movement that my phone picks up.  Sometimes he gets all five stars.  He’s kind of good at this.  I think.  Especially for a four-year old.  We are thinking about getting him into hip hop dance classes this summer at a local dance studio to encourage his love of movement.  I have this feeling that he will love it.

Bennett and I often try to dance along with him but he tells us that “you can just watch me dance”.  Kiddo does not like to share his limelight with us.  :: sigh ::  I’ll do my best to not raise a Kanye when he does become famous.

Here’s a little compilation of some of his sweet dance moves that he’s learned from Just Dance.  It’s a mixture of iPhone videos and my bigboy camera so the quality jumps around a bit.  How amazing and ridiculously cute is my little superstar?

The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!

I was nervous that four was too young to start him in a class like this but they said some kids do really well in it. So we're going to shoot for a 4-week class and maybe carry on further if he likes it. Watch out Dance Moms: here comes Katy!

He will have fantastic hand eye coordination. And some killer moves to put on the ladies. 😉

He's already a lady killer. This is just going to further it. My future is so bleak.
