This week’s themes: Creating, Finding, Switching, Forgetting, Craving.
Creating. A project and then having a major fail on it. Whomp whomp. I had this super fun idea to take a piece of wood carved in the shape of West Virginia and cover it in buttons. Well, I loved it…until I finished it and realized it was backwards. The entire state was backwards. I’m such an idiot! AH! Talk about a creative buzzkill.
Finding. My stride with planning and time management. Or at least I’m working toward finding it. I’ve been using my Happy Planner heavily over the last couple of weeks, planning out blogging things, work things and personal things. It’s the most I’ve ever been able to do this. Practically ever. And I love the progress I’m making in organization.
Switching. Over to a new year’s mindset. 2016, baby! We ran in the new year in a pretty lowkey manner. And it was perfect. Also, Louis is a party animal and can outlast any adult I’ve ever known. I swear. He’s hysterical.
Forgetting. How patient I have to be with myself when learning something new. Because of some new business expansions I’m going to be getting myself into (starting in January if I can get it all together!!) I have to work with Adobe Illustrator. Which is a program I’ve somehow avoided having to learn and use up until now. With all Adobe programs, there’s a pretty big learning curve until you can be comfortable with it. So I am working with the basics now, trying to figure out my way through the program and hopefully will come out on the other side of it alive, haha.
Craving. Apple cider mimosas. Seriously dude. Go have yourself one. Better than regular mimosas, I’m not joking. Half cider, half champagne. Rim the glass with sugar if you’re feeling fancy. Drink a million of them. You’re welcome.
