Threads of the Month :: May 2018

May 23, 2018

I’m firing myself for being my own hype man.  Because I totally started a fabric subscription service and didn’t even blog about it the first month.  For shame!

But it’s okay, because I’m here to share with you this month’s fabric.  And e-prance around in my new romper because I love it so much!

I have avoided rompers at all cost for the last few years.  Only because I’m afraid of having to pee in a public space.  I think I’m officially going to get past this irrational fear.  Because I finished my last stitched, put this bad boy on, and seriously ran to show Bennett while yelling “look how cute I am!!”

I’m absolutely in love with this fabric.  And I am so crazy thrilled about the feedback I’ve received from the rest of the Threads of the Month crew.  I wanted something that could be used as Americana sew (if you wanted to) but also was just pretty.  I’m not sorry to say that I love me some red/white/blue action and I wear Americana themed clothes year round.  But we’ve got two big holidays coming up with Memorial Day and Independence Day, and I wanted to give everyone a little help with getting into the spirit.

I should probably tell you more about Threads of the Month, huh?

Threads of the Month is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3!

  1. Sign up!
  2. Receive!
  3. Sew!

As a lover of fabric and sewing and color, my goal is to deliver some amazing fabrics to you — of which you can turn around and make some amazing threads for yourself.  Each month, you will receive 2-yards of knit fabrics (on varying bases) in the mail.  Most of the time it will be a continuous 2-yard length, but we might surprise you with some coordinating prints from time to time.

The Threads of the Month subscription price is $25 and includes shipping.  Right now, we are keeping it to US delivery only, but we hope to open it up beyond that soon!  We will try and provide you with inspiration for these prints, as well as surprise goodies included in the packages from time-to-time.

Sign up for THREADS of the MONTH here!

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!

What a great idea! Subscription services are all the rage… I really really need to get a lesson in sewing knits someday. Maybe when I’m done birthing babies and they start to require less diapers.

Birthing babies takes precedence over most things. I hear you. 😉

Sewing just dropped from my priority list. I want it back sometime, but my list has shifted for sure.

Great fabric, and I share your fear of the romper. 😉

It’s not as scary now that I have one in my closet.
