Obsessing. Over bright eyeshadows and lipgloss with glitter. It’s like I’m back in middle/high school. I can’t seem to help myself and I’ve been wearing what I would call “peacock eyeshadow”, with a mixture of turquoise, navy and purple. And then glitter lipping my way through life. Honestly I thought people would be like “oh my god what is she doing, doesn’t she know she’s 33?” But I’ve gotten a ton of compliments lately, people I see on a fairly regular basis, telling me I look pretty. So maybe brightening up my look hasn’t been the worst decision.
Perusing. Images of wedding dresses. I know. Me. A married lady. But this married lady will have been married for 10 years, come this June, and we are throwing a second wedding! (Some people would probably like to call it a vow renewal, but that sounds less fun and exciting than second wedding……haha.) We live in the house we got married in, so the venue is the same, the date is almost the same, and the butterflies are the same. I’m so excited to do it all over again, but differently. Woot!
Praising. Myself for taking 2019 by the horns. I’ve sewn and blogged twice. I’ve kept up with Sunday Lately. I’ve made sure to start getting my taxes together. And I’ve done a little bit of planning ahead, in terms of work / patterns / schedule. Bam. Take that.

Congrats on 10 years! My husband and I will hit 12 years this July. I dream of having a second wedding one year since we eloped originally. It was great because we didn’t have the stress and anxiety but it sure would be fun to have a big party with our friends and family.
Thank you Katy for getting us all going on this. I get so much mental happiness from sharing and reading everyone’s weekly post.
Also, your self-praise is totally deserved and really resonates with me! I totally agree with giving ourselves a pat on the back for being up to date with week 1! 2019 is so far a success! Go tribe!
So glad you’re more organized than I am and have the whole year planned 😀 I love Sunday Lately, hopefully I’ll keep up! Thank you!
I missed having it in my life. I really had a hard time last year with letting things take over and drown out things that I love. I’ve vowed to take it all back this year. Glad you’re on the journey with me!
