“You? Unnecessary but wildly creative thing? No.” That’s the response I received from one of my friends when I told her I was creating the cut files for even more Lego Star Wars Christmas sweaters. And honestly, “unnecessary but wildly creative” is a delightful way to describe most of my shenanigans. So I suppose I’ll take it.
We’ve been getting Louis a Star Wars Lego advent calendar for a few years now, and every single year they have our favorite characters wearing these ADORABLE holiday sweaters. And I can’t help but become obsessed with the idea of recreating them. It’s just my nature.
I’ve already done Poe Dameron’s BB-8 sweater. And Darth Vader’s Death Star sweater. And now I’m bringing y’all a freebie for the sweaters that R2-D2 and C-3PO wore in the 2022 Advent Calendar.
Hold your judgement. They’re adorable. How could I resist?

I love that they’re wearing sweaters of each other. Kinda makes me want to make a sweater with Bennett’s face on it for next Christmas. Ha. (Maybe I will……….)

The files are all set up and ready for you to make the holiday sweater of your dreams! Obviously you can change the colors but I kinda like the idea of keeping it just as they wore them. If you’re looking for a sewing pattern that I’d recommend for this creation, the Modern Sweater would be fantastic. If you’re sewing for a male presenting body, I’d recommend maybe using the Basic Tee…it has enough of a relaxed fit that it should work just fine and you could crop it slightly and add a banded bottom easy peasy.
If it’s supplies you’re after, here are some links that should help you make the perfect sweater:
- Red Heat Transfer Vinyl (Siser Brand)
- White Heat Transfer Vinyl (Siser Brand)
- Green Heat Transfer Vinyl (Siser Brand)
- Crewneck Sweatshirt (Gildan Brand)

Hopefully you share what you end up making! And even more hopefully, I hope you tag me #wildandwanderfulblog (@wildandwanderfulblog on Instagram) so I can see!! I love sharing in your joy of making!
The download is packaged as five (!!) file types:
SVG, DXF, PNG and PDF. I also threw in a Silhouette file, to make layering vinyl easier on y’all!
Please do not share the files, claim them as your own, or profit off of my design in any way. They are for PERSONAL USE ONLY.

Katie, these are so cute! And it’s really adorable that the Bots’ sweaters are of each other.
Love these! They turned out super cute and my son and his friends loved them! Any chance you would ever do any of the Lego marvel holiday sweaters??
Funny enough, I did draft up the Spiderman sweater from one of the Marvel advents, I just never did anything with it. My new job is super computer heavy, so I have a hard time dragging myself back to my computer once I clock out for the day. Hopefully I can make something happen this year, but no promises.
