Pumpkin Party 2015

Oct 19, 2015

This year marks the fifth year of us hosting a pumpkin carving party at our house.  And it was the biggest one yet!  We had around thirty people dancing, eating, carving, drinking, laughing and enjoying themselves in our house on Saturday.  And it was fab.

We sure know how to pack a house!

Louis was SO EXCITED for the party to start.  It helped that we busted out our fog machine (yes, we have a fog machine) and let him dance it in most of the day while Bennett and I were cleaning up.  No worries, the fog machine/dance party combo was brought back into rotation later on during the party events.  The kiddos were busting a move in our living room.  It was great.  And now I’m bummed that I didn’t take any videos.

I had this really grand idea in my head that I was going to be extra cool and cross stitch my pumpkin this year.  Um.  Never again.  It was so much work!!  And the results are less cool than I thought they were going to be.  But at least I tried?  And saw it all the way through??

Bennett actually totally kicked my butt this year in carving.  He picked a pretty intricate design and in my head, I was all “no way is he going to do this l like he says”.  But he did.  And it rocks.  Just goes to show that I’m waaaaay too competitive in the making-department.  Especially with my husband.  Haha.

And since we took entirely too many photos, here are all of them in a giant gallery, for your viewing pleasure!!

Sadly, some of the families had to leave before we were able to take the final picture of the evening, with all of the pumpkins lit up.  But here are at least a good chunk of them!  So much fun!!

I am very much so looking forward to doing this again next year.  It’s my favorite holiday tradition!!
