My gift to you today is a Sailor Bow pattern, ready for making in multiples — because it’s bonkers quick to sew and so cute that you won’t ever just stop at making one. Not only do I have the pattern available in three formats (letter, A4 and projector), but I’ve got a full video tutorial to walk you through the creation of these cuties.

A Little Backstory: This bow was originally created during a MakerSpace Sewing Retreat. That retreat was all about sewing for fun, trying new things, and just enjoying the process. While MakerSpace has since closed, I didn’t want this project to disappear along with it. These little bows were too sweet not to share! Bringing them here to the blog feels like the perfect way to give the pattern a new life—and to share a project that’s beginner-friendly, quick, and guaranteed to make you smile.

  • less than 1/4 yard quilting cotton
  • Basic Sewing Supplies: Scissors, Sewing Machine, Matching Thread, Iron, etc.
