I find it incredibly unbelievable that we made it all the way through May. THIRTY ONE days of blogging, people! Well. 29 for me, really. One day, I just added the Linkup without any words and another I completely missed. But I’m still giving myself a pat on the back. Don’t take this from me. I find it fitting that the month of blogging every day with #bloggermayi also falls on a Sunday Lately day. Awesomesauce.
Today’s themes: Doing, Appreciating, Designing, Humming, Expecting
Doing. A little spring cleaning. We are serious pack rats. It’s awful. We’ve tackled Louis’ toys so far and will be moving upstairs (hopefully today!) to go through all of our clothes and get rid of 75% of them. I’m embarrassed by how many clothes we have as a threesome. Lou’s is easier to excuse away because he keeps growing, so we have to adjust with that. But Bennett and I have no excuses.
Appreciating. The summer flowers (read: pollen) more than Bennett is. Poor guy has been a bit of a mess over the last week or so. I’ve never had issues with allergies…but Bennett is on the complete opposite spectrum of it all. He has been sneezing and sniffling all over the place and I’m all, “Can we bring more flowers in the house?”
Designing. Some new things to sell in my shop. Tops, dresses, new shirt designs. You know, the usual laundry list of things that I create for myself.
Humming. ‘Black Widow Baby’. Only I hate that song and the poor excuse for an artist that sings it. I’m sorry, Iggy Azalea is awful. Not how she delivers it as much as her voice in general. It hurts my head. But it’s one of Louis’ favorite Just Dance songs and he plays it a lot.
Expecting. Loooooooots of company this week. It’s a good thing. But I will be in straight up panic mode all week long because of it. My Mom, Sister, Brother-in-law, and niece will be coming in to hang for the weekend. And on top of that, a musician friend of ours is having a concert here in Wheeling (he’s from Cape May, NJ) and we are hosting Gordon and his girlfriend as well. They’re all wonderful people and it’s going to be an insanely fun weekend. But I get all freaked out over any little thing and this is bigger than a “little thing”.
