Apparently our visits to the Living Treasurers Zoo is going to be an annual birthday trip. I guess I’m not mad about it at all. We went to visit my Momma this weekend and she took us to see the animals again. Maybe it wasn’t for my birthday, but we can pretend, right? (If you’re curious…here’s our trip there last year.)
Living Treasurers is basically a petting zoo, for animals you don’t usually get to pet and hand feed. It’s fun to be up close to all of these beauties and Louis just loves it.
One of our favorite animals to feed are the giraffes. Only because they have giant purple tongues that come at us, and we spend the majority of it laughing and handing over our lettuce. Have you ever been licked by a giraffe? I guess I can check that off of my bucket list. (Do people put that as their bucket list?)
Of course, we loved the actual petting zoo element of it. Goats are hysterical. And a little obnoxious. But they’re super friendly and Louis just LOVES being around them. After we ran out of carrots, apparently they thought our clothes were tasty. Mom and I even walked out of there with holes in our shirts because those little buttheads chewed through them. Turds.
Having my Momma so close to us now has been such a blessing. I’m so glad that Louis gets to spend as much time with her as he does (and we are loving the time with this sweet lady as well). Pennsylvania is a WHOLE LOT closer than Idaho. Thank goodness. Because we get to have weekends just like this with her.
Thanks for taking us on our weekend adventure, Momma!
