Sunday Lately :: Week 79

Jul 3, 2016

Angelica, Meaghan, Nicole, and myself. We e-hang out every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the last week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!

This week’s themes: Updating, Remembering, Needing, Wearing, Being.

Updating. My resume to include pattern designer.  Well, kind of.  I’m not selling any of my patterns (yet! you never know) but I did draft, measure and create my very own pattern for a purse.  I’m so damn excited by and proud of it.  It has a little of the blocked flair that I love with my Evelyn clutches, however it’s much different.  It’s got a strap, pocket, is blocked completely differently, and will sit on it’s own with the gusset I added to it.  She still needs a name, and I’m working on tweaking the strap, but it’ll be in the shop super soon!  Yay!

Remembering. How great it is to slip out of the house for a couple of hours to have some drinks and gossip with the girls.  I got a call from two of my favorites last night, asking if I wanted to grab a drink with them and I’m so glad i took them up on the offer.  (If you’re reading this, Bennett….yes, you’re right.  I do need more girls time.  I will publicly admit that you’re right on this. haha.)

Needing. To get a plan together for our 4th of July celebration tomorrow.  We’ve invited people over and still haven’t shopped or planned for the food part of it.  BIG whoops.  We are going to be those assholes at Kroger the day before a national holiday.  I’ll be sure to put on my war paint and give out a good battle cry before we head in and fight the crowds.

Wearing. Red, white and blue.  Of course!  Did you check out the Sew Americana tour from last week?  I can’t even begin to tell you how AMAZING these women are with the things they created.  I’m lucky to have connections in the sewing world with these magnificent people!

Being. In pure disbelief that we are already in the month of July.  I mean, I’m not complaining too much because it’s my BIRTHDAY MONTH (woot!) but also…how did half of the year already make it past us?  Not cool, Father Time.

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!
