Oh man. Blogging has been a struggle lately. My schedule has been a mess and I’ve been finding it difficult to return here. BUT, I at least would like to share some photos from the Halloween festivities we’ve enjoyed. Because even if life has been super hectic, it’s also been super fun!
We didn’t necessarily need pumpkins (because we accidentally created a pumpkin patch after carving last year’s pumpkins) but we NEEDED to go to Ebberts’ Farm to get our traditional photo. I officially have to crop differently because Louis has grown so much over the last year. I mean, so much.
Excuse me while I go sob in a corner.
We hosted our annual Pumpkin Carving Party. I think (?) this is the fifth year we’ve had one. Maybe six? Either way…I’m so glad that we keep it up. Because what’s more fun than eating way too much fall cuisine and carving pumpkins?
Nothing. Nothing is more fun.
Halloween fell on a Monday this year. Which was weird because we actually went Trick or Treating on Halloween day. And it was Monday. It just felt a little off. Nonetheless, it was still tons of fun. And Louis loved it.
Louis is the kind of kid who picks what he wants a year in advance and doesn’t budge. No joke, a year ago he’d decided he wanted to be a vampire. Talked about it all year. And I made him a vampire costume because of it. You can see more of the details of his costume HERE if you want…since I made it to go along with the Project Run & Play contest.
To go along with the traditional Halloween theme that Louis picked, Bennett and I decided to be a werewolf and a mummy. Ask me how many times people made mommy/mummy jokes. Go ahead. Do it. Because it was a lot, haha.
I love that we dress up as a trio. I don’t know how many more years we have left of being able to coordinate costumes with Louis and I am going to soak it in as long as I possibly can.
I wonder what Lou is going to choose for us next year!
