Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!
This week’s themes: Holding, Closing, Going, Watching, Expecting.
Holding. My poor boy a lot this week. Louis was double diagnosed with the flu and strep throat. So he spent the entire week on the couch in my studio. The great thing about working from home is that I didn’t miss any work due to his illness. The crappy thing about working from home is that, once he started feeling better, he was getting stir crazy and I was still trying to get work done in my home office. We figured it out. But I’m sure kiddo is going to be SO HAPPY to be back in school tomorrow morning with his friends.
Closing. Up work on some St Patrick’s Day designs for the shop. I should have all of them ready to rock this week…which is good, considering it’s almost March. Whoops.
Going. Out to brunch this morning, and then heading to the fabric store with one of my girlfriends. I’ve already (almost) finished my prom dress and I volunteered to help Alex make hers. I think it’s going to be so much fun! I can’t wait for the big day!
Watching. Gilmore Girls. I know….I don’t know what happened to me. This is the first time I’ve ever attempted to watch that series. But I like having something on Netflix that I can “watch” but not really pay attention to. I recently re-watched Friends in it’s entirety while I was working. And GG has so many episodes that I figured it would work for me. The thing is, I don’t really like it that much. It’s okay. But they do really just talk too fast and AT each other a lot. And Lorelai’s snark is a bit much sometimes. But overall, a good pick for background noise.
Expecting. To try and figure out how to infuse a tulle skirt into my life more often. I made this Mama Cassie bodice yesterday, to wear with this skirt, for an event we were photographing. And I LOVED it. It was sassy and flirty and a little obnoxious. And so much fun to wear.
