Sunday Lately :: Week 133

Jul 16, 2017

Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!

This week’s themes: Hitting, Ending, Sensing, Handling, Shining

Hitting. A new age this week.  Wednesday, I rang in my 32nd birthday and we celebrated having me try to avoid work as much as possible.  We went to the pool, I got to sew a couple of things for fun, and we went to Later Alligator (one of our favorite restaurants) to watch a mini-concert and have some dinner and drinks with friends.  It was a delightful day for sure.

Ending. The waiting game and receiving my Cricut supplies!!  Yay!  I’ve been invited to be part of a sewing bloggers tour with Cricut and I am SO EXCITED.  They sent me a machine and a bunch of heat transfer vinyl and I’ll be sharing a DIY project soon.  Keep an eye out for the tour!  It’s going to be such a fun, creative tour to follow!

Sensing. That I’m going to have to be put in a Popcorn Anonymous program soon.  No joke.  We bought an air popper on the 3rd of this month and I swear we’ve had popcorn almost every night since.  Whoops.

Handling. The news that our nephew has to end his visit with us today.  Such a bummer, because it’s been so great to have him here.  Jackson is hysterical and spending time with him has been so good.  I wish Washington was closer so we got to see our West Coast family more often.  But I’m so happy that we got a full day with this smart and sarcastic teenager yesterday.

Shining. Some light on this pattern that I’ve been trying to draft.  I applaud designers, man.  It’s no joke to be drafting things to be wearable.  I’ve learned so much from this experience.  Can’t wait until I can share it!

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!
