Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!
This week’s themes: Exploring, Eliminating, Hoarding, Listing, Ordering
Exploring. The idea of designing in a different way than I have before. I’ve recently had some chances to create fabric prints and it looks like I’ll be coming into more chances for that as well. I’m excited to have my designs on textiles and I’m looking forward to seeing what people make with them!
Eliminating. The answer “Busy” from my auto-responses when people ask how I am / how I’ve been. I need to seriously stop it. Of course I’m busy. Everyone is busy. But that doesn’t make that word important. Time to break that bad habit!
Hoarding. All the scraps that I have left from the “Mad Scientist” fabrics that i put together specifically for Louis’ birthday party. I made shirts for all three of us to wear yesterday out of these prints…and I’ll be using every little piece of the print that I can for future sewing. It’s so fun to sew with something you’ve designed!!
Listing. All of the projects / decorations that I made for Louis’ birthday party yesterday in a blog post soon. I love sharing the little details we made happen to give our kiddo an extra special day of celebration. We had so much fun and the party raged on for a long time last night. I’m exhausted but so grateful for all of our friends and family that made his day super special.
Ordering. An IV of coffee. Is that a thing? Can it be a thing? Yesterday, we went hard. HARD. Today, my legs are jello and I’m whipped. I have all these things that need to get done and yet I’m like….can I sit on the couch all day and do nothing?
