Let me tell you a little about my love of mixing prints, and playing with fabric: it’s endless.
When Keanna first contacted me about her new custom fabric company, I was excited. She’s taking a slightly different approach to her prints. Each design is handpainted by a young artist, and then scanned and turned into usable prints. The artists she uses are both 20-year old college students, and by purchasing these fabrics we are helping continue their artistry efforts! Isn’t that sweet?
I was too caught up in life to help officially test the Adeline pattern from Made for Mermaids, but I was thrilled to be able to use this beautiful print and create this dress with it. Adeline is such a fun pattern!

For my strike, I was sent this incredible bamboo lycra blend to play with. Bamboo is so wonderful. It’s soft, it’s got great weight to it, it drapes beautifully, and the stretch and recovery is perfect. I wish I had a million yards of b/l in my fabric stash because it’s all I would end up sewing with.
Sometimes with custom prints, the fabrics are super vibrant when they arrive and are lack-luster after you’ve washed them. But I can happily say that this fabric remained exactly as colorful after washing it. JTN Sewing Company wins big with their fabric base!
