It’s another exciting day for me in the world of sewing, because I was able to design and release a new pattern with Patterns for Pirates. And it’s a FREEBIE!
I’ve probably mentioned it before, but it’s been an incredibly fun and challenging journey to learn how to design and produce sewing patterns. While I haven’t gone full-tilt on things like apparel patterns, I have been making my way through other items – like accessories and such. When I’m creating something to share, I always do it for completely selfish reasons. Ha! I am generally only interested in spending my time designing something that I’ll actually use or that I’ll actually feel good about gifting. And whenever Valentine’s Day starts to roll around, I’m generally only thinking about what I can make to send to my niece and nephew, or what I can deliver to Louis’ classmates. Which is exactly how these cute little Plushie Pals were dreamt up!
The pattern is incredibly simple and includes all three animals: fox, bear and bunny.
I obviously couldn’t design something without having a fox element to it, now could I? Louis is fox OBSESSED and I’m not exactly doing anything to squash that. Whoops.
They finish about 12″ tall, which makes for the cutest little tag-along friend for just about anybody. I have the need to turn them into little versions of people…and possibly Baby Yoda as well. So obviously my Plushie Pals sewing is not over yet.
