The 15th day of every month is quickly becoming my favorite day. Because it usually means I get a notification in my email, telling me that my BeeBox from Vinegar + Honey Co has shipped. Fabric mail is the only kind of mail I like to get.
M4M Ella Sew-a-long :: Flutter Sleeve Add-On
Have you guys heard? Made for Mermaids is doing a sew-a-long for the Ella + Mama Ella patterns all next week! So fun, right? Sew-a-longs are just a little way for hundreds of people to sew the same thing, at the same time, and feel like you have sewing buddies making the same thing alongside you…as well as get a lot of inspiration, tips and hacks.
I’m here to share one of the extras that is coming next Wednesday: a flutter sleeve add-on!
I’m Just a Poe Girl | BackStitch Fabrics
I was contacted by the BackStitch Fabrics team about sewing some strike-offs for them. Before even really seeing what they wanted me to sew up…I was in. They have some really bold, funky designs and I thought it’d be fun to play along with them!
To find out that their round this time was Halloween themed AND I’d get some Edgar Allan Poe inspired designs was just bonus.
Mama Sommer by Made for Mermaids
Summer is quickly approaching…which means we need to kick our sewing into a new gear and make some dresses for the warmer weather ahead! Good thing Team Mermaid has got your back with their latest release: Mama Sommer.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s | RP Custom Fabrics
Those girls over at RP Custom Fabrics sent me some more strikeoffs to sew up and I finally get to share what I made! They are running a round of fabrics with inspiration drawn from some cult classic movies (Pretty Woman, Pretty in Pink and Breakfast At Tiffany’s). I was sent some of Tiffany’s Damask and this is what I stitched up!
April BeeBox | Vinegar & Honey Co.
Hey hey! I get to reveal my April BeeBox fabric make from Vinegar + Honey Co today! (Confession: this fabric reached me yesterday and I’ve already made and worn my new outfit. I guess I was a little excited, haha.)
This month was another fabric that I wouldn’t necessarily pick for myself, but i adore the end results, so I’m glad that it was sent to me! Comfort zone be damned!

March BeeBox | Vinegar & Honey Co.
Subscription boxes are near and dear to my heart. I just love surprise mail…especially when it’s in fabric form. Sometimes, you get something you’d never order for yourself and it helps put you outside of your comfort zone, or forces you to be a little extra creative. This was my first month of receiving the BeeBox from Vinegar + Honey Co and I LOVED what was inside!
Cross My Heart Cami by Patterns for Pirates
We had a quiet February over at P4P, but don’t think we weren’t working on some goodies behind-the-scenes! Meet the newest top in the Patterns for Pirates lineup: the Cross My Heart Cami.
Mama Isabel by Made for Mermaids
Allow me to introduce you to the baby-making pattern of the century. I mean…to the cutest wrap dress/top pattern you’ll own. Made for Mermaids seriously nailed it with this one. Meet: Mama Isabel!
Patterns for Pirates Boyfriend Vneck
I’ve committed one of the biggest sins, being a Pirate girl. I never made myself a Boyfriend Vneck. I bought the pattern a million years ago, always intended to make it happen….and then never got around to it. Officially, I can be taken off the naughty list! I also don’t know what took me so long to make one of these….sorry Judy!
