DIY Calendar & Meal Planner [UPDATE]

Dec 31, 2014

It’s 9:06pm.  Tuesday evening.

I am blogging while sitting on my living room floor, Louis playing on my iPhone behind me on the couch, beer in a mason jar on my messy coffee table and planner sprawled out next to me.  It’s December 30.  Two days before the new year.  I meant to get these to you earlier.  But I didn’t because I still haven’t been able to make life less crazy since Thanksgiving happened.  So forgive me that I didn’t even try and stage pretty photos with my incredibly organized life in gleaming white pictures.  I am who I am.

I wanted to update my calendar printables for a while now, because I’ve religiously been using them them.  They just needed a little tweaking and since it’s a new year (almost) I thought I’d go ahead and do it now.

Things I came across with my old design: the “eat” and “clean” sections were taking up space and I was just ignoring them.  So I did away with that.  I kept a small section right next to the date, however, for me to write birthdays and special dates into.  You can use this however you’d like, obviously.  I like having a special section for these things.

AND — this time around, I’ve included a weekly printable for meal planning.  I work from home, Bennett is a stay-at-home dad and Louis is only in school three days a week for half a day.  This means that we are home based a lot and need three meals a day, seven days a week.  And we are also lazy. (Did I say that out loud?)

Things that take a long time to make with lots of ingredients are only fun once in a while.  But we run into having “nothing to eat” most days as well.  And resort to eating out more than I’m proud of.  We’ve buckled down this week and stuck to our plan.  Basic meals.  But no major repeats during the week that will make us stray from our plan.  So far, so good.

Granted, it’s only Tuesday.  But hey.  We’ve made it this far.
I know what you’re thinking.  And yes, I want a cookie.

You can head [ HERE ] and get this year’s updates.  They’re set up to print on standard 8.5×11 paper.  And, I’ve made left and right pages in case you’re crazy like me and want the months to be shown on the outer edges of the pages.  Hopefully this helps someone get organized!  I use my planner honest-to-goodness every single day.  I hope they come in as handy for you as they do me!

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!
