So, so excited to be writing this today! Currently/lately posts are basically my favorite thing write. Starting this week, my awesome bloggy besties and I are going to be hosting “Sunday Lately”. We will provide five -ING verbs each week (and give you the themes for the next week so you’re ready to go next week as well). You can choose to use our themes or simply pick your own. There are no rules. Feel free to grab the button for your post and be sure to link your very own “Sunday Lately” so I can go see what is happening in everyone’s world.
This week’s themes: Planning, Loving, Reading, Wishing, Feeling.
Planning. My next sewing projects and things to share on this little corner of the internet. And trying to get website up and running for both Bennett’s and my businesses. If only I could afford an entire team of people who can do this stuff more efficiently than me. A girl can dream, right?
Loving. This linkup. No, really. We tested the waters with “My Favs on Thursdays” but it was so hard to come up with something to write each week and not sound like a salesperson. It came from a good place but there was no inspiration each week. I think this is so much easier. There’s a format but not really. And it applies to so many people on such a broad spectrum. I could go on. But I’ll stop. Yay Sunday Lately!
Reading. Very slowly because I’m easily distracted…Mindy Kaling’s “Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns)”. I know that I’m late to the game and everyone has probably read this already but it matters not to me. Mindy Kaling is my mega-girl crush right now. She’s brilliant and funny and sexy and dorky and all the things I wish I could be all at once. Next on my list are “Bossy Pants” by Tina Fey and “Yes, Please” by Amy Poelher. Basically I only want to read books written by my girl crushes. Whoops.
Wishing. I could get back to a level of normalcy in my schedule. The holidays have honest to goodness kicked my ass. I’ve let so many things slide in the last two months that I’m having a hard time getting my bearings back. Louis returning to school will help with this coming week but then I’m heading to St. Lucia the week after that and it’ll throw me into another tizzy. I am a person who likes control. This is not my forte.
Feeling. Excited. Happy. Hopeful. All good things, all good things. There is something about a new year that gets me pumped. Nothing changes from December 31 to January 1 but it “feels” like it’s new and that’s exciting.
